Details on Trump, Sheehy in Bozeman Tonight

BOZEMAN—Former President Donald J. Trump brings his notorious energetic rallies to Montana tonight, as he campaigns with Senate hopeful Republican Tim Sheehy at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman.

The rally is one of several Trump has hosted since the July 13 attempt on his life at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The assassination attempt raised
grave questions about Secret Service failures and the possibility of malfeasance on the part of those responsible for protecting him.

In the wake of fiery questions from Congressional leaders, former Secret Service Head Kim Cheatle resigned her post.

Security protocols at the Bozeman event will address a different landscape, given the event’s indoor venue.

Young Montanans turned out in downtown Bozeman after the assassination attempt in a show of solidarity with the former president.

Trump’s Montana stop is a nod to the energy Republican Senate challenger Tim Sheehy has shown against three-term incumbent Jon Tester. Sheehy currently leads the vulnerable Tester by four points. Sheehy has been campaigning on closing the border and limited foreign intervention, both weaknesses for Tester.

The Big Sky Prospector saw rally attendees lining up in Bozeman as early as 7:00 a.m. this morning. Trump is known to draw major crowds. Authorities anticipate adjusted traffic patterns and security presence in Bozeman.

The event is to begin at 6:00 p.m., and Trump himself is expected to speak at 8:00 p.m.
